I made a little sweater for a new KCL doll yesterday. The sweater turned out really well. I know the key to knitting for dolls is to use finer gauge yarn but I always try to short cut it. Here I didn’t and I used Sidar Snuggly Spots DK and it was perfect. The pattern I used was a free one I found on ravelry, Huckleberry Friend, for an 18″ doll. I shortened the yoke by 4 rows and … More
Okay, Miss Fox has an outfit I’m happy with, finally. I wanted something simple so after you’ve put the fox together you can whip out the dress super fast. I’m still fussing with the finishing. I tried to leave it frayed and unfinished but it’s bugging me. We’ll see. I’m going to take a stab at getting this pattern together this week and see if I can get it up & ready to go quickly.

After a few tries at resizing my first, very cooperative fox, this guy/girl is at least finally together. But has absolutely nothing to wear. So in that grand Wee Wonderfuls tradition, here is my first installment of "sewing things from the thrift store on other things from the thrift store"
I just put a coffee in the freezer so I can chug it down and see if I can salvage any of this day! I have a long list, of things I'm actually looking forward to doing, but I can't seem to get out putter-around-craft-room with breaks of looking-stuff-up-on-the internet mode. I'm trying to remember if I've ever crocheted a toy. I don't think I have. I hate searching things on my blog because a. I can never find them … More
I made a deal with myself that I could buy thrifted woolens only if I used them right up and that I couldn’t move on to next pile until I’d done so. I made a little blue bear friend from the rest of this giant sweater vest. I wasn’t sure it’d felted up tight enough for stuffing but it did hold up well.
Now I can start on this pile! This crazy soft gray sweater had the tags ripped out … More
