Free Cardigan knitting pattern for the Make-Along doll

free doll cardigan knitting pattern

Tiny, cozy sweaters knit for handmade dolls, it doesn’t get much cuter than that! Please enjoy this knitting pattern for a cardigan for the Make-Along doll. It is knit in sock yarn with size 2 needles. Tiny, but not too crazy small. It is a different version than the sweater I replicated from my great grandmother’s pattern which involves a lot of seaming. This one is knit from top down in one piece and sleeves can be knit in the … More

Fairy Doll Pattern in Making Zine

I’m so excited to be a part of the first issue of Making magazine, no. 1 Flora. I received my copy in the mail a few days ago and it is such a gorgeous magazine, book really. There are so many wonderful projects included, not just sewing and knitting but also cross stitch and embroidery and recipes and floral design. Just gorgeous all around. Congratulations, Carrie!

pattern making and surviving May

Miss Fox sewing pattern is available in the shop, in time for holiday making! This is the first year in many that I’ve intended to add a new pattern to the shop and actually been able to pull it off. And this little fox has sat in my sketch book forEVER so it’s very pleasing to get her out and into the world. I was so excited to get her done and out that I couldn’t take the time … More

great yarn for a KCL doll

I always run through the yarn aisle whenever I go to the craft store to see if anything inspires me to make a doll. I loved this super bulky, subtley variegated brown.  Shoot! I tossed the wrapper but I think it’s Lion Brand Thick & Quick in Sequoia. I made up a doll with the Kit, Chloe and Louise pattern and gave her a serious head of hair with this yarn. It turned out really great. Phoebe has already given … More
