crocheted hexagons

I have started another over ambitious project in a medium I know nothing about, crochet. After weeks of futsing with it here and there I think I figured out how to crochet a hexagon. apple picking

I’m all proud of myself because we went and picked the apples before it was too late. I always miss it. Pickings were slim. And I may be imagining it, because I know it was a hard Winter for apples, but they don’t seem to taste as awesome as they normally do.

back to school is stressful so I knit a scarf

I love a good bulky yarn. This one is Red Heart Grande yarn from Joanns. I think I've knit 10 scarves like this one. Oh well, what's one more. This one got me through the first week of school. new outfit for Zoe

Today Phoebe made some new green shoes, floral skirt and ballerina headband for her doll. She cut out the felt shoes and hand sewed them together. She pushed the gas on the sewing machine while we sewed the skirt and threaded the elastic through the waistband with a safety pin. And she measured out the ribbon for the headband. berries

Summer is going too fast this year. Just typing that makes me panic. I don’t want to think about it. Here’s a lovely day we had last week. We spent a week in Michigan and had such a great time, mostly on the beach but on one of the cooler days we went blueberry picking. It was awesome. So calm and easy. No bouncy house or petting zoo or carnival rides, just us and 4 buckets.
