experiments

Inspired by purldrop‘s beautiful and inventive crocheted bead necklaces I’ve been trying to make a quilted necklace. I haven’t quite figured out how to weight it yet so it lays flat. In the mean time I sewed this botched attempt to my favorite old petit bateau t-shirt which has seen better
days and needed a spruce up.

man I’m predictable. every year I go through a scour-ebay-for-crazy-vintage-ornaments phase. the next phase will be the I-need-every-wooden-german-christmas-ornament-ever-made phase. I’m enjoying phase 1 immensely this year.

holiday whobie whatie

Ok, getting ready for Morphe has got me thinking about Christmas even earlier than usual. This weekend before I could make up the crayon costume I had to try out this idea I had for wee ornaments. “Corduroy” quilt idea

This is the project that was a bee in my bonnet. The other night I was reading Corduroy to Oscar and Freeman’s illustration of a quilt on the girl’s bed caught my eye.

a patchwork robot

first I tried felt, then wee, now patchwork
