thriftcraft, we hardly knew ya

As some of you might have already seen, I’m bringing ThriftCraft back into the fold of Wee Wonderfuls for now. It’s just too overwhelming having 2 blogs. Well actually it’s not. I could just let it sit there unupdated for long periods of time. But I get all twitchy when things are hanging out there like that so for my sanity I made an ‘official’ decision. little squares

I’ve started on my quest to cover the apartment in doll quilts. Tiny tiny squares. Well ok 2" isn’t that tiny but tiny enough for me. Some vacation day. Forecast is for severe scattered thunderstorms so guess instead of a trip to the zoo as planned we’ll have to stay inside and work on project find a spot for all this stuff which Oscar will be thrilled to learn includes stowing half his toys away in the basement. Happy 4th kid!

Other suckiness as a result of incliment weather is no light to take pictures of all our fun garage sale finds. Instead here’s a photo … More

survived

Weekend recap: unbelievably beautiful weather, a so-so morning of garage sale hunting saturday (more on that later over at t.c.), teenage battle of the bands in the park (funk? still?), few stops at the playground, but the main event was trying to keep 80 stems of spray roses alive in my kitchen turned florist shop from friday morning until the sunday afternoon baby shower. I ordered the flowers online and it worked out so well. I put them in buckets, … More

complete set

I don’t know what it says about me that I can never make just one of something and always feel compelled to make a complete set but for whatever reason I made three more toys on wheels…

sheep on wheels. after struggling with all sorts of unsatisfactory legs I decided to make a big flatish sleeping sheep.

pig on wheels.

bear on wheels. he might be my favorite. I love how his feet are all tucked in close so he … More
