We’re the ones in our pjs wrapped up in blankets. We’re having a leisurely breakfast of pumpkin pie and then reading out to get our tree. Christmas is on!!
week off of school starts now
We just returned home from the library with a mountain of books and movies. I’m getting settled in with the laptop, the cookbooks and my master list for my first time hosting Thanksgiving. I’m hoping to get my shopping and scheduling and planning done quickly so I can maybe fit in something relaxing and creative. I’m having a hard time combining those two lately. There’s been lots of creating under stress but not so much just making for fun. I want to be like Oscar and just make a turtle for the heck of it.

That’s pretty much all I’m working on these days. I finally got little pajamas to work well and now have 5 or so pairs cut out for all Phoebe’s dolls. Hopefully I’ll have time to get patterns together and up. Anyone have any outfit ideas/requests for their KCL dolls?

quick wool coat for Kit
Kit was looking chilly so I made her a coat. Although as Phoebe rightly pointed out it’s probably because she has no pants/skirt that she’s cold. That’s up next! I made this coat super fast, using wool and leaving edges unfinished. It was two pieces, one for body sewn up sides and under arms and one for the collar. I cut loops along front so I wouldn’t have to deal with closures. Just sewed on 2 buttons. That’s the way I like doll clothes, easy and fast!
ghost pops
These white chocolate ghost pops turned out really cute and were super easy.
These ghosts, however, were a super fail. Yeah, stiffener does not dry in 10 minutes. I’m sad because I really wanted to make these at Oscar’s class party.
