Hello! Today was get everyone dressed day. It was also fall down a rabbit hole of x-files podcasts day and I fear that may have slowed my progress. This sweet girl, Virginia, though is dressed and ready to go in her new apron and boots. She is up in the shop today.

My brain is dead from all the pta emails I had to write today. I can’t seem to put together 3 sentences but I have these photos to share. I had a fun week gathering supplies. I had to take advantage to the not-as-cold and hit all the thrift stores. Now I have wool and tweed and sparkly Indian things to cut into. I have everything washed and piled and planned. Now to just work up the energy to dive in. I started with this little melon-head above. She’s all ready for a fancy gown, but I don’t know if I am. But if the fabric is fancy the design can be plain. That sounds like a design rule. So I’ll dive into that soon.

This week I’m making dolls in pairs. Yesterday a girl and her bear. Today I’ve started a deer and girl in matching dresses. I think it’s funny when I come up with these things. I’m so pleased with myself. “I’ll make them to be friends!” I shout out, to no one. Why? Because friends are cute. Okay. Thumbs up. Bear head.

Yes, it’s that cold. Even the Winter Fairy needs a cozy quilt today. I found this pieced doll quilt top when I was cleaning out a box of unfinished projects in the craft room last week. It so matched the fairy doll I was working on that it had to be fate. I’ve listed them together this morning.

I couldn’t help myself and named them Laura, Caroline, Mary and Grace. They’ll be up in my etsy shop at 11 today in the Handmade Originals section (if that section doesn’t show up on the sidebar then they’re sold out).
