I love these little spool pets. The Graphics Fairy had one for download a few weeks ago but you are so lucky to find an original – and such a sweet one too!
First time seeing one of those! Adorable. Some of the instructions on those old packs are so sweet, like the one about sending a SASE, and Wright’s will mail you a package of trim scraps so that your children can make doll clothes.
A captivating gang of 24 huggable, lovable creatures to sew—from classics like Margot, a topsy-turvy doll, and the button-jointed teddy bear Bjorn Bjornson, to irresistible Evelyn, a wool felt inchworm decked out in mod glasses and a kerchief, and Koji, a fiercely cute spiked softie monster. There’s something for everyone here—from kids to grown-ups and from beginning sewers to advanced dollmakers. Published by STC Craft, August, 2010.
Oh, how sweet!
That’s adorable! And I LOVE kitty cats! 🙂
I can see doing a plush version of this in wool felt with the spool in the middle.
Awww!
Isn’t it a shame that mass produced products aren’t packaged with this much thought anymore – such a lovely idea!
Didn’t oliver & s have a dog version like this? Pearl was the dog’s name I think…
The two would look so cute together :)!
