Summer groove

I thought I was pressing my luck to take my tween and teen out on some outings this weekend that they’d have loved as toddlers but not as much anymore and was pleasantly surprised everyone was happy and enjoying themselves! That’s the magic of Summer I guess, everyone reverts to being a kid.

I was having a panic that I’d overbooked our Summer but, we’re slowing down now, and I’m really looking forward to our vacation and a lazy rest … More

More work was done this weekend on the clearing out front. The target, Phoebe’s room. Holy hannah. That girl has so much stuff! I think she’ll be happy with the free space and less clutter. I feel like I just did this to her room, maybe last Summer? But they outgrow things so fast. I had no idea how many princess fairy books were still sitting on her shelves. spring breaking

How is Spring treating everyone?! We just got back from our first ever official family Spring Break trip. So exciting for the homebody Langs. The boy is no stranger to themed quilts. He started out life driving cars on his … More

Blizzard 2011!!!

Okay! One of these overhyped weather events finally paid off. The blizzzzzard of 201111111 did it's job and dumped a mountain of snow all over us. The kids are in heaven! And I'd have really enjoyed our cozy shut-in snow day yesterday if it wasn't for the 5 hours of shoveling we did yesterday. Today we have another snow day to contemplate nature but of course it's -10000000 degrees so no playing in the snow.

They played it up yesterday … More

merry christmas!

We had such a wonderful holiday month over here. Lots of fun, very little stress, lots of making, too much eating, everyone is very pleased with Santa this year. But in retrospect I have to say the best part of this Christmas for us was our crazylucky timing. Miss Phoebe caught herself something gross and feverish at the mall but it didn't kick in until bedtime Christmas night and our camera which has been flirting with death finally gave up … More
