You know what I noticed when buying knitting patterns? If a project looked like something I knew I could do I am happy to spend the money on it. But, if I'm not sure, if it looks like it might be tricky or too time consuming, even though I'd love to make it, I pass. I was thinking toy-making is one of those things that most people don't know if they can do or would enjoy. It's sort of an odd amalgam of crafting skills - machine sewing, hand sewing, embroidery with a sort of sculpting element thrown in. That's why I like it so much because it's a little of everything. And I think lots of crafters enjoy it for that same reason but also they might pass it by for that reason too. So from now on, we're pricing all our patterns (cross stitch and embroidery too) at what I hope everyone will consider give-it-a-try prices. It's a new year, try a new craft! It's not too much of an investment if it turns out not to be your thing but I'm guessing most people will be as hooked as I was when I made my first toy 9 years ago... nothing like having a project smile back at you!
And to make my life happier, we are now an all PDF shop! Except of course for wholesale, which anyone can order (in chunks of 5 or more) at the wholesale shop here.
Give it a try!
