I love visiting Japanese gardens. If we had the space and the cash we would definitely do some sort of zen gravel, koi pond, water element action in the backyard. I love all the shades of green. And the stones, and small wood walls and fences. We made a really neat trellis for the front of our house this past week. It's encouraging us to tackle some bigger yard projects. Or at least think about tackling some. Not the greatest Summer for gardening ventures. But is that maybe always the case? I'm always a little ready to throw in the towel by mid-Summer. The weather can be so uncooperative.
