MOO Holiday cards giveaway!

I love MOO. I've ordered oodles of their mini cards, so tiny and awesome, and this Summer I ordered a bunch of photos as postcards for Oscar to keep relatives updated on his activities. Their products are excellent quality and their site is easy to use so I was psyched when they contacted me about doing a giveaway of MOO Christmas cards. I want to win myself! quick wool coat for Kit

Kit was looking chilly so I made her a coat. Although as Phoebe rightly pointed out it's probably because she has no pants/skirt that she's cold. That's up next! I made this coat super fast, using wool and leaving edges unfinished. It was two pieces, one for body sewn up sides and under arms and one for the collar. I cut loops along front so I wouldn't have to deal with closures. Just sewed on 2 buttons. That's the way I like doll clothes, easy and fast!

drafting patterns

These two are inspiring me while I work on a new pattern. They're very cute and encouraging but I'm ready to have this figured out. Fingers crossed this next try is right.

Thanks for playing along with my list of obstacles. A lot of yours were scary flashbacks for me, morning sickness. Ah! I'm glad to be on this side of that. So, with renewed focus and vigor, I am attacking my list. This weekend we got our pumpkins and our 200 pumpkin patch photos. Check. And I figured out one of the kids' Halloween costumes, super gross ghoul costume from Party City for Oscar. I almost had him in a pretty cute homemade mummy costume but you know what derailed me, where to find a white/cream sweatsuit/long underewar, anything to be the base of the costume. After visiting 5 stores and looking online, forget it. Costume in a bag for the boy. And he's pleased as punch. Now if I can just get Phoebe to stick to one idea. So far the front runners are pink mummy or pink pumpkin. Oh dear.

let's make a list of obstacles to getting things done today

1. can't find a clean surface near an outlet to plug in light board

2. can't find a decent pencil with a decent eraser

3. rain headache

4. impending preschool pick up

5. don't have my new iphone yet so don't have siri here to do my work

6. bangs are in my face

7. no good snacks

ghost pops

These white chocolate ghost pops turned out really cute and were super easy.

These ghosts, however, were a super fail. Yeah, stiffener does not dry in 10 minutes. I'm sad because I really wanted to make these at Oscar's class party.

Guess what else I found last week at the garage sale... a new sewing machine! Sadly it's only 1.5" tall but it actually works.

I lucked out with a few other appliances, all fully operational FunBeams.

Even picked up a new sound system.
