Book Club Stitchettes quilt plan

book club quilt

I've got just a little more brain dump about Book Club and then I'm on to bunnies. Yesterday I posted the last design and now I'm gearing up for the quilt. For this series of Stitchettes, since I knew I wanted to make a quilt with them all, I wanted a cohesive color palette. Here's the ring of color I went with for all these embroideries. It made the stitching go so much faster with the limited colors to chose from. I added more browns/tans/neutrals but these were the main colors.

I picked fabric colors to match my floss. Not sure if these are final but this is where I'm jumping off from.

And this is my quilt sketch. I hope it works out cute. I'm worried about all the seams making those books. They'll disappear under the quilting, right? We'll see. Wish me luck!

p.s. Thanks to everyone who bought 1 & 2 and is emailing me for 3. Sorry I don't have a more sophisticated system worked out here.

I would love to know the DMC colors you used, and the sizing of the squares of the embroidery for the quilt. Can we all do this as a quilt – a – long? Please!!!

I love this quilt pattern. I’m off to buy the new series today. You’ve inspired me to try making a quilt with them. Plus I think this will be an easy take along on the millions of trips planned this summer. Looking forward to seeing the quilt tak shape.

I love the book club embroidery patterns. I so wish I could have picked them up today when I was at my favorite craft store (I love that my yarn store sells both embroidery and sewing supplies).
