a scarf shirt and ice cream

A new thrift store not far from our house, I just noticed, has tons of Indian clothing. Lots of silks, scarves, beads, awesome stuff, very inspiring. I bought this huge orange floral scarf there the other day and thought I'd try to make a quick hippie top for myself. It's very pouffy. I used my new method of just keep sewing with elastic thread in the bobbin until it fits somewhat. Not the most flattering shirt I own but very instant gratification.

also from the thrift store, an ice cream maker!

Beautiful! When I got home from vacation on Monday night I had a surprise waiting, your book!! I was so pleased and my daughter was over the moon. We spent Tuesday paging through and she kept saying “Oh we have to make this one. OH and then this one!” It was sweet and I can’t wait to make things with her from your beautiful patterns.
    Thank you!!
