thank you aloe plant

Summer may not be officially here but after a weekend at the pool it sure feels like Summer, and I have the sunburn to prove it. Even the struggling peony that lives on the side of our house in all shade managed to pop out a couple blooms this year. We ate salad from the yard last night and I spent the weekend hunting down non-toxic sunscreens. We’re ready to go! Just this last week of school standing between us and SUMMER!

and maybe then I’ll have time to wash our dirty windows!

Two things for an aching sunburn:
    1. aspirin. Take only the real thing and don’t give to children who may be susceptible to Reyes syndrome.
    2. water. drink a LOT of it to rehydrate after a day in the sun
Happy almost summer! We’re still freezing out here in NorCal and I’m still knitting with wool!

We just bought some Badger sunscreen which is #1 on the list by ewg.org (it keeps popping up everywhere) and it is working great so far. I am a member of fullmooncoop on yahoo which is a fabric coop, but they just did a buy for badger products for 1/2 off retail.
