new art cart

I've envied my brilliant friend Carol's rolling art cart (hers is a thrifted drink cart I think) for a long time. I tried to get by with a tiny little 6 x 20 three shelf piece of garbage I got at the hardware store but it was a joke – spewing paper and crayon bits all over the floor. So while at Ikea we picked up this dealy bob.. the antonius, for $4! plus 2.50 for shelves and maybe $2 for the wheels. We are ready to go. I love this solution because I can never guess where the kids are going to want to do projects, living room floor, dining room table, their bedrooms. This way they can roll all their supplies wherever they need to go!

how did you get it for $4? They were a lot more than that when I bought them. Are they having some crazy sale? What a find!

Hmmm. I’ve been in Target looking for a cart something like this one to no avail. I guess I’ll be making my way to IKEA in a few.
My daughter has an embarrassingly huge collection of stuffed animals that are in need of some serious organization.
    Thanks for sharing!

I bought one of these many years ago at IKEA. Didn’t know they still have it! Loved it then and used it for my own art supplies. But like many things IKEA, the frame eventually bit the dust. I think I put too many heavy paints in it. Still have the drawers…

That looks great. I have a particle board one from Ikea, but it is starting to not work. I think I’m going to try out your solution, thanks for the inspiration!
