cut it out

The key to success for sewing for me these days is making sure there are as few obstacles as possible. I'm not sure my heart's quite in it so I'm easily distracted. But I bit the bullet and spent an afternoon cutting. Now I'm optimistic that actual sewing will occur.

I recently started my first ever quilt for our soon to be 3rd baby. The only thing stopping me from working on it? Cutting the pre-purchased charm squares in HALF. Can you say lazy?? ugh. I should do what you did and just do it already.
And don’t even get me started on those flipping bobbins…

I think that you are definitely on to something with the idea of just getting the cutting bit out of the way. I did a bunch of cutting one day last week and have been sewing without needing my scissors since then. So much more fun this way!

Threading bobbins ahead of time? I suppose that is what my Side-winder is for … but I never seem to be that prepared. I am impressed! :) Hoping you find the time to sew them together! Can’t wait!

Prep before any project is the tough part for me. I like to get straight into the creative part of it.
Looks like you’re pretty close there!
Love the beautiful greens and blues in the first shot.
