November! Isn't November one of those 'do something every day' months, blog every day? or write a novel every day? Something like that? I'm going to try to blog every day. Maybe. Yes, I'm going to do it. Starting today.
The end of October went by in a blur and I'm realizing I have no good photos documenting it. I have a new nephew!! Another boy for me, baby Jake! He's a cutie. But I'm not sure I'm supposed to be showing baby pics here. In arrived right in the middle of all the holiday excitement. Halloween was a doozy this year. Our kindergarten party went off without a hitch and was super fun. We had 3 games and a craft and the kids rotated through and then sat down for treats. It was a lot of fun planning and I'm sort of bummed I didn't sign up for the holiday party too. My favorite idea from the party was mummy wrapping drinks and gluing on googly eyes. And the donuts on a string were super fun. Dangling food should be a part of every celebration.
The kids were in store bought costumes for their 2nd year in a row. We were all geared up to make Mr. Freeze for Oscar but then the practical realities -- of trick or treating and wearing the costume to school and the weather -- sort of took over and we went with his second choice, Batman. Phoebe was Tinkerbell and she's been wearing her costume every day for 3 weeks now. I can't believe I didn't make her costume but I'm planning on making up for it. I'm heading to the basement for the frilly fabrics now!
