still with the x’s

Here’s the cutest ever cross stitch wall hanging that I bought from Elisabeth’s
Fine Little Shop a while back. It says “You sweet soft little baa”. I love that! I’m going to hang it in Phoebe’s room when I redecorate it to be a big girl room. Fits right in with my Heidi theme!

I’m stitching away on my 4 girl set. Here are the colors I’ve got going so far.

And here you can see linen vs. aida. This is over 2 threads on linen and over 1 square on black aida.

I love it. I’ve been getting back into my cross stitching in the evenings and am loving it. It is just so relaxing to me. Can’t wait to see the girls set.

Ah, Gee! I read Heidi when I was 8. That was back in ancient days. What at great theme for your little ‘big girl’s’ room! All the beautiful colors you can use, as seen in your adorable cross stitch. And the story is wonderful too. :)

Did you change the way you organize your floss? I thought you used the little cardboard bobbins. That’s what I am doing right now but I don’t know that I am loving it.

no, I’m still on the cards which I keep on the rings. it works well for me. these are project cards my mom gave me. I thought I’d try to keep the colors for my current project on here so I could write down all the colors.

I’ve just had such fun reading through your posts and thank you for reminding me just how much I love cross stich – I havn’t done it for agesss. I used to make mini xmas cards for my Granny and Mum. How is the knitting going? I’ve just picked up my needles after a long time of not knitting, trying to knit some wee dollies for my niece’s 2nd birthday! Catherine x
