A Treasury of Scandinavian Design by Erik Zahle, c. 1961.
Those wooden toy, they take me back. I had one of the little wooden train thingies, might even be here somewhere.
Had many a jumper similar to the one in the book too.
Guess where I grew up??
ooh her sweater is divine! i want!
eek! I like it! :] I also love the library…
how much are your fines? they just moved ours up to a dime from a nickel.. seems like I spend a lot more there now… I never mind only because I know it’s actually going to a good cause.
You made me giggle with the title. When my husband goes to the library they just ask him cash or charge! He’s a habitual book keeper. I love those wooden dolls. I have been looking at the le toy van site today. Mmmm Christmas is such a good excuse for more wooden toys!
I adore those woodin toys they remind me of some that I played with in school…in the olden days…just after diansours roamed the earth-Lol!
Fun post thanks!
What a great book, are you able to give me some more info on the items on page 103, are they bowls? my DH is into unique woodwork and loved these items and wanted to know more about them, thanks heaps
Love the image of that amazing room with all that gorgeous Scandinavian furniture! The Kjaerholm chair is pretty perfect and the whole vibe just makes me want to sit and stare out the window, enjoying the fog.
