re-ment!

It's been pretty hectic around here lately and I really need to be spending every free moment sewing, not typing so here's a little teeny tiny something to sit on the blog until I have a sec to write a proper post or two. I'm bummed I don't have time to really go into how cuckoo for re-ment I've become lately but I'm pretty sure you'll see why from this pic. See others who are hooked here, and for scale, here.

shop news and a shirt

Hey party people. We've finally restocked the Summer Stitchettes and the Hand Sewing for Fun Butterfly Patterncards (and enough of all the patterncards that the 4 for 3 deal will be around for a long while). And just in time for Easter baskets, hotdog! In the shop here.

And because no post is complete without a photo... my latest disaster. I tried one of my new ballpoint needles on some knit fabric and it worked like a dream. My "just winging it" design was a little bit less successful. Well, a lot less. It doesn't fit Phoebe at all, all bunchy and weird and tight and loose in the wrong places. I would have taken another run at it but it was procrastination sewing and I had to move on. But still, it looks kind of cute on a hanger.

Here's Phoebe with the owner of the red shoe I posted the other day. I had to wait til they were both wearing their red shoes to snap a photo. I had My Friend Mandy when I was a girl and my Mom miraculously held on to her so I have her to hand down to Phoebe but I could not help myself from ebaying this Jenny doll for my dark haired girl. Phoebe loves her. She squeals when she sees her and starts smacking at her and gets all squinty. It is so cute! Of course right now all she wants to do is eat the shoes and gum her face. I'm sure I'll have to put her up on a shelf for a few years until she's really ready for Jenny. That'll give me some time to work on outfits. Maybe even a cool camping outfit like Sadie's Mandy has!
