makie

I’ve received some really wonderful mail in the past week. I keep meaning every day to post photos and write thank you cards and share all the happy wonderful cute things that keep popping up in my mailbox but my swelling to overcapacity body has slowed me down to a crawl. Tonight Junebaby seems to have decided that sleeping is for chumps and so here we are up at 3am. Perfect time to catch up! I’m getting the feeling that most of my blog reading and posting will be taking place in the middle of the night very soon. Might as well embrace it now. So anyway, these gorgeous items arrived in the mail from Catherine from her favorite baby store in NYC, makie. They are so delicate and simple and perfect and are making me very excited to meet the tiny person that will fit in them.

a classic japanese hadagi and bear

and this gorgeous teeny tiny perfect little bib that is never ever going to get spit up on. I hung it on the quilt wall so it’ll be safe and sound.

and geez, if I owe you a thank you, please please know I’m so grateful and sorry I suck and I am hoping to catch up very soon!

Oooh! Watch out for that sleeplessness! You know what they say about that burst of energy? Anyway, take it easy in spite of it!
Adorable bib too! I would put it on the baby if we were eating out so that people could ooh and ah at baby and bib!

Yay!! I have been going back through all of your archives and I am finally all caught up. I am your latest blog-stalker … I will be back. I can’t wait to see junebaby. Is Oscar getting on board with the little sister idea? He probably doesn’t fully understand quite yet. Anyways, your work and your family are so. cute. Amazing!

This is so making me want to have another baby. That hadagi thing is adorable!
Hope the heat stays away long enough for June Baby to arrive. Do you have central air in your new digs?

Just as I was clicking over here and waiting for your site to download, I thought to myself, “Oh! It’s June! I wonder if it’s possible Junebaby could be here already!”
With E, for the entire week before he was born, I woke up every night at 3 a.m. and was up for the next three hours before falling back asleep at 6 a.m., that is, until the day I went into labor during that middle of the night wakefulness.
Can’t wait to “meet” that little one and wishing you an easy last part of your pregnancy.

Oh, yes, I think I would have hung that sweet bib too. What a shame to have anything on it! 🙂 Good luck getting a little sleep, and hope Junebaby makes an appearance soon! 🙂

SO cute! I absolutely love the bib – very cool. That would be the ‘going out’ bib if it were for one of mine! I love your blog – you are so good at keeping it updated – even while pregnant.
