She’s so lovely. From your photos, I’m thinking she’s some kind of mythical perfect baby–which you totally deserve to have, of course, with all your preparations.
But would you kindly post some photos of her screaming at 1 a.m. with poop flowing out of her diapers so that we know she’s a real baby? :) I’m getting verrrrry jealous.

Ooooh, so looks so snuggly. Love the dimple in her chin.
My eldest daughter didn’t have that much hair until she was 2years old! My 2nd one doesn’t have that much either, at 15 months. Poor little baldies!

  4. Michelle says:

I love love love when they sleep like that! *THE* single most bestest thing about newborns! Agggh, and the number one thing I miss most. Sob! Enjoy, Mommy, enjoy.

Ooh – what a precious baby – mine are all born bald so it’s nice to see a baby with a full head of hair!! I’ve been working on some bunnies for a b-day girl and my own kids – great pattern! I love it! enjoy your new baby and that wonderful new baby smell! They get big soooo fast!

  6. rhembein says:

What a doll! Love all her hair! My kids stay bald (pretty much) until 2.
Don’t worry, you will be craftin again soon! It took me some adjustment time after each of my babies, but you will start stealing some of those nap times for crafting little things for her soon! When your body adjusts to the new sleepless schedual. 😉
Love this photo!! I have a few like it. A fave baby napping spot for me!

The more I look at her cute newborn cuddle, the more I am remembering how much I just wanted to absorb as much newborn from my kids when they arrived too. Crafts can wait, cause lord knows kids don’t. :)

She is beautiful ! For all those mums out there with giant strapping whopping galoofing teenagers, please take an extra big sniff of baby smell for us and give her and extra gentle squeezy hug……and much much love to the big brother (he has the hardest job of all)

My second daughter is now 5 1/2 months old and I don’t know where the time has gone. My first daughter used to sleep on my chest as your precious daughter did, it’s 3 1/2 years ago now but seems just yesterday. Daughters, you can’t beat them.

  10. liz says:

    gahh – what a sweetie!
those blissful first days with a sleeping baby on your lap. nothing can beat that feeling – so much fun and love and adventure to come.

  11. Tonya says:

The photos of your daughter totally take my breath away; she is very beautiful. It makes me really miss those first days with my own li’l peanut…sigh…

  12. Annie says:

She is sooooo beautiful. I know it’s hell for the Moms, but I love C-section babies…none of the normal smush face and cone head; just pure beauty.

  13. Rachel says:

Look at that little nose! You know, in a few years she is really going to resemble your wee wonderfuls girl in your banner! And you both are really making me consider baby #3.

  14. martha in mobile says:

My daughter was born 6 weeks early; she not only had a full head of hair, her back was hairy, her forehead was hairy…she looked like my very own little spider monkey. Fortunately, after only a few weeks she more closely resembled a human baby so people could admire her without a slightly worried look. But you got perfection from the get-go!

  15. Hillary says:

She’s so beautiful and peaceful. I remember holding Esme like that for hours … so, so wonderful.
I can’t wait to see more photos and here more about what it’s like to have two … I’m so nervous/excited about doing it.
Thanks for sharing these first few days with all of us.

  16. Christina says:

She is beautiful!!! I have three months until my daughter arrives and seeing your daughter makes me want mine to get here all that much sooner. Of course, I still need three months to get ready for her arrival. Congratulations!

  17. Lotta says:

Will you stop already! I just decided I was done at two and now you are tearing down my wall of mental birth control showing me these cute new baby pictures!

  18. Liz says:

I’m just jealous waiting for my Julyboy to come. I’m sitting here thinking maybe he could be a June baby instead I’m getting a little tired of being pregnant.
She is beautiful. I can’t wait for my own guy to cuddle.

  19. Patti says:

Thank you for the picture…it reminds me of the peace you find when a child chooses you as their pillow. Sweetness abounds! Thank you, also, for the pictures of Oscar’s room. It gave us the courage to paint my grandson’s room the apple green he had requested for his new room in his new home! Wishing you sleep and contentment

Oh God. Since I’m not having any more children of my own, can I just OGGLE her beautiful photograph the rest of today?! No wonder it’s hard for you to blog; I’m sure you’re caught up in her perfectness, too! Congratulations!!!

  24. Alison says:

Plump perfection! What a beautiful girl. To get everything done that you did whilst pregnant, plus grow and deliver this little miracle…astonishing! Well done, congratulations, and happy days to you all!

  25. Alison says:

oh, oh oh aww, oh I love that feeling of rubbed chin and cheek against soft baby skin. If only you could bottle it and reapply every so often through life.
    She’s absolutely adorable.

It took my little boy forever to get back to his birthweight. I ignored all the ped’s advice about supplementing :)
Nice job on such a snuzzly baby!
