Have you been to skyfish graphix before? They're the publisher of Samba Life! I was reading about the publisher, check this. sigh, how much would I love to work with them!

Anyway, here's one my favorites from their site -- Keiko Maeo. "A boy and a girl, two dogs of Bob and Curly, two different views, two stories and one incident..." I'll have to look for this book next time I go to Mitsuwa.

a little more fashion. I was going to see what else I had on my CO! list but got distracted by pics of project alabama's spring collection over at tricia's. sooo good!

I haven't checked Project Alabama out online in forever! They were one of those people I could never find any info about online. Now they have a new fancy site! I know I've never seen how you dress but I imagine you'd love this skirt.

(ever notice how new york boutique and fashion stuff is impossible to find online? drives me nuts!) Ok, photography is not "cute" per se but I'm still including it in Cute Off! because it's one of the things that's really got my blood pumping these days. I'm embarrassingly out of the loop when it comes to photography. I was trying to figure out why this is and remembered that I declared my art history major so late in the game that I wasn't able to take many electives and that's how I managed to walk out of college without taking any courses on photography. Shameful! I'm just now starting getting clued in. The latest amazing photographer on my radar is William Eggleston (via Gayla) and now I'm obsessed.

Time to ditch the 740s for the 770s at the library.

this same wavelength

I'm feeling the stamp vibe too. I love the look of it so much. So raw and simple. I've been wanting to try my hand at carving some stamps for forever but I've had no idea what to make. I just had the thought - maybe I could try carving the little icons I drew for the sidebar. (well Tim has just informed me these won't work. something about good negative and postive space. back to the drawing board)

updated to add: I gave it a try last night and finally dug into the mastercarve block I've had laying around. very fun to use but still tricky!
