Economy Shop goodies

So that went ok, I was able to check out a few things at the sale with Oscar underfoot. That’s such a fun sale. There were so many things I wanted to look at but I quickly used up all Oscar’s patience and had to high tail it out of there. I wasn’t even really all that sure what I’d grabbed and bought until I got home and could examine it all.

Some fabric….

Some great shiny buttons, very cute little round wicker containers, a firetruck (and not pictured an old school fisher price car and person that I think is in taking a nap with Oscar) and a cool vintage doll clothes pattern – just in time as I need to make a dress for Fauna.

And on the way out the door I was able to check out one last room and grab these vintage wrapping papers and cards.

I so need to join you some day for one of these shopping days. Maybe with assistance Oscar will have more patience?
I assumed you would have heard of this local shop, but just in case you haven’t, take a look at Rotofugi they’re awesome people and I’ve gotten several presents for folks there.

What a great stash! I just love going bargain shopping at garage sales and thift shops… I am always left wondering why the previous owner didn’t think their gear was worth keeping (they are probably not horders like me)

that is adorable vintage wrapping paper — so fun! honestly though, i’m a little perplexed about this concept…is it new wrapping paper with vintage-looking prints, or is it actually vintage wrapping paper that people have had stashed for 20 years and have finally decided to get rid of (and why would they if it’s so cute?!?)?

    Score, Hillary!
And the fact that Oscar was with adds bonus points! Very impressive, my friend!
I’ll be in Chicago in a few days, and I was wondering if you could give me more info on this store? 🙂
