Bookworm

Finished! The Bookworm cableknit sweater from Miss Bea’s Rainy Day for Oscar. Following the chart took some concentration (“wait, don’t talk to me til I finish this row”) but it was so worth it! I’ve got yarn slated for the “Train and Racing” too.

  4. What a beautiful child you have! I have 4 granddaughters and am now waiting for my first grandson next year. I’ve been looking for patterns for boys now and this sweater and the cap w/tassel are just perfect! I would love to make them–think I could get a copy from you?

  5. Hillary,
You did a beautiful job on this sweater! Beautiful and so is Oscar :)… I like your color choice better than the original. I recently purchased the book and have started the “bookworm” in some Plymouth yarn I had left from another project and was wondering what yarn you used. I don’t care for the stitch definition with the Plymouth Encore and need to buy something else. I’ve used the Rowan All Seasons cotton (that’s what the instructions call for) on other projects and would prefer not to use that for this sweater. Did you use that? If you already mentioned it on your blog, excuse my oversight.I would love to know; your choice definitely enhances the project as does the fine knitting. Thanks too too…

  6. Lovely! What yarn did you use?

  7. WOW, I really love that sweater – I’m not up to that sort of knitting level yet, but I’m working on the one-piece kimono sweater right now, hoping to get some more experience! Really loverly! Em
